Hi,

I am so pissed off this afternoon. Royals game was not on RSTN television today, Fox Midwest or Channel 38 "The Spot." So, I tried to listen on my little headphones radio. It kept tuning in and out if I moved the tiniest bit. I got pretty mad and started searching the internet for internet radio broadcasts. To listen and not worry about moving around. Turn the volume up or down as I might need it. I started my search looking for Royals WHB home page, figuring I could click on a "listen live" link and hear the game. Nope. I went to a page called Mike's Internet Radio, with state by state live radio stations in Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma, South Dakots and clicked on EVERY freaking one of them to see what came up. 4/5 ths of them were blank Windows media Player screens, no sound or anything. An occasional Real Player download started automatically. Sometimes an alert screen proudly announced "You have entered a wrong address" or something like that. Sometimes, "Not formatted for..." Darn it, I have Windows media Player, Real Player and itunes. What else is there? I did find one ball game playing in Hays, KS, but it was a college game, I think. It was back in the third inning when I started this frustrating search. Then I went to the RSTN (Royals Sports Television Network) page to find radio affiliates. I started comparing call letters - and found none. NONE.
It was now the top of the 9th, and KC had gotten ahead on a HR in the 8th. I was too busy searching to listen to much of the game. I hate giving up. But, I did. I decided to turn on the TV once more to see if anything might be coming up soon to watch. Boom went the bomb in my head. ... That's right. It came on Channel 3, WLS.  From Chicago. The old Cubs station for many, many years. I looked, it was the same game I had been listening to, two outs in the top of the 9th, and one little fly ball and it was over. Damn, was I even more pissed off (excuse my profanity.) I could have watched the whole thing. I should have remembered that the White Sox are the new love children for Chicago, and the Cubbies are still dead. Oh, well. The Royals won 4-3. Chicago, World Series Champions, are now 0-4. Everything is still falling out of place for pathetic old me.

Duh...
Jack
